How to Dress for Success in Physical Education!
To be sure your child is actively participating in a safe manner, shorts or pants and sneakers are REQUIRED!
Proper attire such as shorts, pants, and sneakers are the expected clothing for Physical Education class. For safety reasons, dresses, skirts, and very long shirts, with shorts or leggings underneath should not be worn to P.E. Kindly save this type of clothing for days that your child does not have Physical Education class, as dresses and skirts are not appropriate attire for P.E. class.
Students should wear clothing that lets them move freely. They will be active, sitting on the floor, and exercising. Please be sure they are not wearing clothing that would prohibit any of these activities. Please have your child wear sneakers (and socks) that will remain securely on his or her feet during physically active classes. Hiking shoes, open back, platform, aqua shoes, sandals, and “Z” strap shoes are not permitted.
As the winter weather approaches, please pack sneakers in their backpacks if inclement weather requires rain or snow boots to be worn to school. Physical Education class will always take place as scheduled. Students should come prepared to participate on Halloween, concert days, and any other occasions that might require them to dress nicely.
Safety is always our first priority. Please encourage your student to always be ready for a fit and fun time!
